For us at Chelsea Retirement Community, our story began in this quaint town of #ChelseaMI over 110 years ago. Not only has UMRC had a significant presence in our community, we take pride in the continuous growth that is happening in our little town.

The Purple Rose Theatre Company: Founded in 1991 by acclaimed actor and Chelsea native Jeff Daniels, The Purple Rose Theatre Company is a creative home for theatre artists to define our collective Midwestern voice. Waterloo Recreational Park: The Waterloo State Recreation Area is sprawled over 20,500 acres of natural wetlands and is Michigan’s third biggest park.
