UMRC & Porter Hills Named Best and Brightest Company to Work For in Metro Detroit and West Michigan
United Methodist Retirement Communities (UMRC) & Porter Hills is delighted to announce it has been named a Best and Brightest Company to Work For® in both Metro Detroit and West Michigan. This national program honors companies that “display a commitment to excellence in operations and employee enrichment that lead to increased productivity and financial performance,” according to a press release by the National Association for Business Resources.
UMRC & Porter Hills is the only senior living organization in metro Detroit to receive this honor. 2021 marks the second year of this distinction for UMRC & Porter Hills from Metro Detroit Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® and the 19th straight year from West Michigan’s program.
“We are thrilled to receive the designation as a Best and Brightest Company to Work For®, shore to shore, again in 2021,” said Michelle Henderson, UMRC & Porter Hills Chief Human Resources Officer. “With the added challenges and stresses of the COVID-19 pandemic this past year, this award validates and honors the tireless efforts of each of our team members across the state as they provide exceptional care and services for older adults.”

Metro Detroit Best and Brightest Companies will be recognized during the virtual Illuminate Business Summit week, November 1-4, 2021.
