We All Belong At Brio Living Services
At Brio Living Services, we believe in an inclusive environment for all to live and work. The work and initiatives of our We All Belong committee is the fundamental way in which we strive to live out our mission of Welcoming all, partnering together, enriching lives, and our vision of A world in which all are empowered to age well.

We are committed to making Brio a safe, welcoming place for all to live and work.
Our Guiding Beliefs of Integrity, Wellness, Inclusiveness, Stewardship, Excellence, and Community represent our deep commitment in fostering an inclusive environment. It means that we are open, nurturing, and accessible to all, including the older adults we serve, their families, visitors, and our team members across the organization.
We All Belong Committee at Brio Living Services
In 2022, a committee was formed to raise awareness at our organization in the welcoming nature of all aspects of work at Brio Living Services. The committee is made up of 17 team members from across the organization, representing a variety of backgrounds and job types from our 23 locations and service lines. The committee meets monthly and holds in-person retreats to build its own competency and collaboration with the Brio Living Services Board.
Over the past three years, our accomplishments have included:
- Training for team members at our Huron Valley PACE and Thome PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) sites, thanks to a grant from the Michigan Health Endowment Fund;
- Training for the Brio leadership team, in conjunction with Change Works LLC;
- Feedback to update policies and procedures, including the Resident Code of Conduct, Team Member Handbook, and onboarding for new team members;
- Participation in the multiple area Pride Festivals and other events that celebrate diversity.
