Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! The message for this year is “Together for Mental Health.” We at Brio Living Services recognize the effects mental health challenges can have on people, especially in a career with high stress situations. It is of the utmost importance for our team members to know it’s okay not to be okay and to ask for help. Jessica Finley, Human Resources Benefits and Project Manager for Brio Living Services, shared why reaching out for help and recognizing stressors is important.

“If your mindset isn’t okay, it’s going to be hard to reach your goals or to even do daily tasks, whether they’re small or big. Our goal is to be advocates for removing stresses and encouraging our team members to have work-life balance. Ultimately, we want you to find the happiness in every part of your life.”

Our personal finances can often be a cause of stress in our lives. That’s why Brio Living Services is hosting a Financial Stability & Mental Health In-Service webinar for its team members. Michelle Baldwin Henderson (Brio’s Chief Human Resources Officer and Certified Financial Coach) and Jamie Palma (Executive Director for Avenues, Porter Hills Home Health East and West, and Social Worker) will teach you about resources to consider and help you get control of this vital area of focus in your life.

The Financial Stability & Mental Health In-Service webinar is May 24, from 12 PM – 1 PM for team members. Please reach out to JFinley@MyBrio.org for the webinar link and other mental health resources to help you live your best life.
